LORELEI ENSEMBLE is the nation’s preeminent professional ensemble of women’s voices. Through commissioning, performance, recording, and education, LORELEI is changing what it means to be a group of women’s voices sharing a stage, bringing more than 60 new works for women’s and treble voices to life that demand fierce flexibility and openness from each artist and each listener. Following a weekend of performances with the National Symphony Orchestra (and in collaboration with Peabody Institute), Emmanuel is proud to host this pioneering ensemble for a special one-night-only concert featuring world-premieres by Peabody student composers and the U.S. premiere of Canadian composer Tim Brady’s Symphony #11, scored for upper voice choir and electric guitars.
